Hezbollah leader: Israel mother of terrorism

Hezbollah

The leader of Lebanon’s resistance movement, Hezbollah, has slammed Israel as a hypocrite entity, which is the source of terrorism and is now claiming to fight terrorism.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah who was speaking on the occasion of International Quds Day said Israel was initially created by a terrorist organization and through committing acts of terror. He said Israel has formed an alliance with certain Arab regimes and they are now supporting Takfiri militants in Syria, Iraq and elsewhere in the region.

The Hezbollah secretary general also criticized some Arab leaders for what he called selling out the Palestinian cause, nation and the holy city of Jerusalem al-Quds. According to Nasrallah, Israel and its allies, are trying to topple the Syrian government, a member of the axis of resistance, because if Syria falls then Palestine will fall and al-Quds will be lost forever.

JERUSALEM – An Israeli was wounded in a stabbing attack near the Damascus Gate of the Old City of Jerusalem Sunday morning.

The victim, identified as a 20 year old soldier of the Border Police, was given CPR on the scene by paramedics and is reported to be in a serious condition following the attack.

Aaron Adler, a paramedic with Magen David Adom who treated the wounded Israeli said, “When we got to the scene we found a young man of about 20 lying unconscious with stab wounds to the upper body. We gave him life-saving medical treatment and transferred him to Shaare Zedek Hospital in very serious condition.”

The attacker, reportedly 18 years old, is currently in a critical condition and being operated on in an Israeli hospital. Several reports indicate that it was the victim himself who managed to neutralize the attacker, despite having been stabbed in the upper body.

“I want to commend the action of a border policeman, who while injured kept cool and neutralized the terrorist, and thus saved lives and prevented further injuries,” said Jerusalem Mayor Niz Barkat. ”We all pray for his recovery, and we must persist and continue in our normal routines.”

Earlier this year, Barkat  thwarted a terrorist after a stabbing attack earlier in the yea.

The latest round of violence during the month of Ramadan comes only two days after a terror attack near Jerusalem left one Israeli civilian dead and another wounded. A Palestinian shot at the two hikers at point blank range as they drove near a spring northwest of the capital.  The two victims, Danny Gonen and Netanel Hadad, both 25 from Lod, were unarmed and helpless against the lone gunman.

Speaking to the Tazpit News Agency, a security guard described how he found the pair at the scene both seriously wounded by gunfire shortly after the attack. Despite resuscitation attempts, Gonen died from his wounds shortly after. In an interview with Israeli website Ynet, Hadad recalled how the attacker smiled at the pair, before opening fire.
