There are those who have been arguing that if Iran gets nuclear weapons other Middle Eastern countries will try to get them as well. Little known fact: Those countries aren’t waiting to find out.
Time Magazine is reporting that Egypt, the UAE, Turkey, Jordan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia either have nuke programs underway or are trying to get them going. Israel has never admitted to having nuclear weapons but its been a long-held belief that it does. So while the stated world goal is nuclear nonproliferation, proliferation seems to be the reality in the Middle East.
