In a perfect world, anti- Israel articles like this would not be written because self-loathing, vindictive writers would have their emotional scars healed and their consciousness raised. In a perfect world, tired, hateful, untrue themes about Jewish covert, secretive, preemptive attacks against innocent, gullible, vulnerable people like the Iranians, the British, and the Americans wouldn’t be repeated ad nauseum.
O.K., were not their yet, obviously. In the meantime, I can’t read Schechter and not give the face of his ideas the bloody nose they deserve.

Danny, a nuclear Iran is not a political game for Israel. The security of the Jewish state and the lives of its citizens are at stake. Israel in the crosshair of the Iranian mullahs. Netanyahu is right to be anxious. He knows that Iran is approaching the point where Israel will not be able to prevent it from becoming nuclear. He also knows that the US can wait a bit longer because of its military capabilities, which are significantly more powerful than Israel’s. But, the Obama Administration’s recent announcement do not instill confidence in the US’ resolve on nuclear Iran. So the real issue is not whether its good for politics, but rather will the US gain Israel’s trust that its commitment to prevent Iran from going nuclear is real. And thus, avoid an independent Israeli attack on Iran.
