Ultra-orthodox lose military exemption in Israel

Soon more orthodox will be seen in uniform

Nearly everyone serves in Israel Рgenerally through compulsory conscription to the Israeli Defense Forces. But there have been exemptions.

One of them – ultra-orthodox who are engaged in religious studies. They’ve gotten a pass.

No longer.

The Israeli Supreme Court striking down the law that exempted them. So now, they’ll have to serve.
